Refund policy

JB Hi-fi’s return policy allows customers to return goods within 14 days. This policy includes a maximum of three returns per order at any time. This return policy is not very common among retailers and is something that numerous companies do not want to repeat.  JB Hi-Fi’s return policy is based on the customer’s behavior, rather than on their behavior at the store. The customer first should determine whether they are happy with their purchase.  If they are not happy with it, they should contact the store to let them know so that they can have a better chance of returning it. 

How can I return an item?

If you are not happy with your purchase, please contact them and they will arrange to return the product to you. This process ensures that customers aren’t forced to wait at the store for their refund until after they receive their goods.  If a customer returns an item before they receive their refund, then this would result in a late payment or insufficient funds when they do eventually receive their refund in full. When it comes to returns, JB Hi-Fi is unlike any other retailer.  There’s no need to call the customer service line and spend hours on hold waiting to get your return processed. When you shop at JB Hi-Fi, they do the hard work for you. You can return an item within 20 days of purchase and have it shipped right back to you for free (with no shipping or handling fees). While other retailers offer similar deals, this one is almost too good to be true. Especially since your item will be sent back intact and undamaged. Just like it came from the store in the first place.

 Refunds and replacements: What are my rights?

When you’re shopping for a product, you expect your purchase to be free from defects. But if after some time that you still feel that your product is faulty, you can return it for a refund. If the item is faulty and not covered under the guarantee, the retailer needs to be satisfied that the fault was not caused by you. There are several ways to do this: 

If you bought your product from them but found it faulty, they will pay for the cost of repair or replacement. 

If they don’t have any repair or replacement option available then they will refund your money and give you a full refund. 

If you purchased your product from another retailer who supplies JB Hi-Fi as part of their warranty and they did send out faulty goods then JB HI-FI will replace them at no additional cost to you.

You may be entitled to an exchange for another item if one is offered at a lower price than yours or a discounted price by us due to an offer made by another retailer on our website (sometimes referred to as ‘our price match). 

 We cannot give refunds due to loss in transit and delivery delays unless there is evidence that these occurred due to their fault including but not limited to items being damaged during transit/delivery within Australia or outside Australia & New Zealand.
