With a synchronized light show, holiday dance party, Christmas Tree Forest and Candy Cane Lane, your chances of getting bored are lower than winter temperatures in Canada.

Start 2018 with a few good laughs

When: Sunday, December 31st, 10 P.M. – midnight Where: Cobb’s Comedy Club Why: If laughter is the best medicine, it may just be the perfect way to transition into the new year. Begin the New Year from the top

When: Sunday, December 31st at 6:30 P.M. Where: Mission Peak Why: For the outdoorsy set who would prefer not to be stepped on by crowds: a night hike at the notoriously challenging Mission Peak is definitely unique and probably your jam. The hike will take the Peak trail to the summit, stopping on a regular basis. Hike participants will have the unique opportunity to overnight at the Eagle campsite, but those who want to leave early and return to the trailhead will be accomodated. Warning: your year can only go downhill from here – but we only mean that in the physical sense. // Mission Peak, Fremont, RSVP here

Have a very zen evening

When: Sunday, December 31st 8:30 P.M. – midnight Where: Brahma Kumaris Meditation Center Why: Whisper words of wisdom (around a fire). A “Letting Go of the Old” fire ceremony will be the centerpiece of this New Year’s evening. In the fire ceremony, participants write down a regret, guilt, or limitation on a slip of paper and put it into the fire one by one to watch it burn for a sense of renewal in the new year. Games, live music, refreshments, and meditation will all be part of the celebration. No prior meditation experience is necessary to attend the event. // 401 Baker St., NoPa, RSVP here.
